Victoria Primes did not start out in finance. While attending school at California State University Channel Islands she was involved in the theater department and literary journals. She got her degrees in Creative Writing and Performing Arts.
Now, she works in administration at Sobul, Primes & Schenkel. Victoria got involved with the field because of her love of helping people. She also says she enjoys “getting to work on a one-on-one basis with my colleagues and building relationships within the firm.”
While helping people at the firm may be a big part of the job, Victoria also thrives at handling problems. “I like problem solving when presented with an issue and finding solutions that help the firm to grow and adapt,” she says. “I help plan the firm events, both large and small, and seeing my colleagues enjoy themselves and each other’s company is always rewarding.”
Outside of work, Victoria donates to many Los Angeles museums as well as the Griffith Observatory Organization. She enjoys reading — she’s always in the middle of at least two books, attending live theater, and cheering on her local basketball teams, most notably the UCLA Bruins and the Lakers.
She lives in Mid-City with her Siamese-mix Alabama — a constant companion for over 11 years.
