Abhi Parikh has a no-nonsense, direct communication style and an eye for detail. As Shareholder and head of the Tax Department, Abhi is your go-to guy for Partnership, Corporate, and Individual tax issues.
For nearly nine years, Abhi worked his way up from Staff to Senior Manager at Deloitte Tax, where he specialized in Partnerships and Corporate tax returns as well earned a Master’s of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University Since making his way to SPS in November 2016, Abhi has enjoyed the more personal atmosphere of a smaller firm. “I’m excited to go out and meet new clients, and to help clients in a more personal manner.”
Abhi switched gears early in adulthood, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from UC Irvine in 2004. After realizing that Biology was not a good fit for him, Abhi decided to take accounting and finance classes at UCLA extension and Junior Colleges and earned his CPA in 2007. “I really, really enjoyed it, so it just became a natural fit.”
Abhi’s passion for helping his clients navigate the tax labyrinth is what sets him apart. “I enjoy the technical knowledge and challenges that come with the job.” With each case, “clients bring something new to the table that challenges me and makes me research, so it’s always interesting.”
Abhi has spent most of his life in Southern California and lives in Studio City with his wife. Abhi and his wife have two young sons and a daughter who “keeps us pretty busy on a day-to-day basis.” A devoted sports fan, Abhi enjoys baseball, football, and basketball. You can catch him shooting hoops every Monday night with a few of his old friends from college.
